Mr. Swanson,

I just watched a video of your officers conducting a brutal strip search of an innocent woman who had sought help from your department. Instead, she was subjected to a brutal and completely unjustified strip search and physical abuse bordering on rape if not including it. There is evidence of numerous violations of the US Constitution as well as blatant and documented violations of numerous other statutory prohibitions and limitations.

I am sickened and outraged by what I saw. I consider this reprehensible and immoral behavior to be no better than that of thugs in the worst police states and banana republics. I am determined to share this video with as many people as I can get to view it via email and highly trafficked blogs ---many of which reach millions of people. I am quite sure that they will be as outraged by the conduct of “your” officers as am I.

As I understand the facts in evidence, the woman who was brutally and criminally assaulted by your officers was entirely innocent of any wrong doing. At no time were your officers threatened or compromised. This outrage need not have occurred. There is absolutely no justification for this behavior under law. Even suspects are protected against arrest in the absence of “Probable Cause” (read the Constitution); therefore, the criminal, felonious assault by your officers upon someone who was not even suspected of having committed a crime is simply unconscionable and, prima facie, without any moral or legal justification whatsoever. For this --there is no defense, no rationalization.

If I lived in your county, I would demand your resignation and that of the offending “officers” who should, in any case, resign. Anyone perpetrating this kind of atrocity brings shame upon the uniform and upon the profession of law enforcement.

Might I remind --your job is to serve and protect, upholding the law --not breaking it or, otherwise, making a mockery of it.

This news is explosive. It’s the type of news coverage that could be done by local news sources every day, but usually, it’s ignored. If a local news team does have the heart to cover news like this, it never makes it to the national networks for some reason. People might demand reform.

Who cares who put it up on You Tube? Getting the truth out is what matters, not the messenger.

It's been nearly 20 years since I turned to my local police for help with my teenage autistic son. I was desperate. It got a lot worse. Learning that I was asthmatic with a severe reaction to tobacco smoke, some of the officers deliberately went about inducing my asthma, having a lot of fun imitating my wheezing. They were so busy that they didn't hear me stop wheezing as I stopped breathing altogether. Only a female officer's quick thinking saved me from unconsciousness and possible brain injury or death. If that had happened you can bet nobody would have ever been held accountable. I had flashbacks for several years.

the sad part is that these so called humans??? persons??? assholes went home to their families that night...maybe a child or grandkid and I wonder what their emotions were , thinking it was just another day and part of their job.....they have no soul or consciousness......they know what they do.............but they will answer to a greater authority than us....and you can take that to the cell with you........Look at their faces.....true meaning of cowards....we will find other ways to show the video....you can hide but you cannot run............

When I was assaulted by a complete stranger in a local Walmart, I was told by the police that I would be charged with, get this - Domestic Assault - if I wanted to press charges against my attacker. On another occasion, my husband was threatened, by a member of the same police force, that he would be arrested and taken to jail if he didn't immediately clean off the feces that a neighbor had smeared on our front door - this occurred after we had called the police ourselves to report the incident. Abuses such as these occur every day, in every place in the country, and we are powerless to stop it. What can be done? File a complaint with the chief of police? Then we live in fear of retribution.
