John McCain's Adopted Child
“Haunted By Spirits” is a fascinating article published in February 2000 by the Phoenix New Times about John McCain and his multi-millionaire, convicted felon, father-in-law, James Hensley. The article contains many interesting nuggets of information, to say the least, but this section particularly caught my attention:
Hensley & Company is reported to be the 12th largest privately owned company in Arizona, with nearly 500 employees and a sales and delivery fleet of more than 300 vehicles, according to a September 1999 article in the trade journal Beverage World.
The company controls more than 60 percent of the beer market in Arizona, selling more than 20 million cases of Anheuser-Busch and other brands each year.
The privately held company remains controlled by chairman James Hensley, although he's relinquished day-to-day operations to Robert M. Delgado, who serves as president and chief operating officer.
Company records show that as of January 1996 James Hensley controlled through a trust 2,110 shares of stock, of which at least 1,655 shares were voting stock. Cindy McCain owned the largest block of stock with 7,436 shares, but only 177 shares were voting.
Her three children, John, James and Meghan, each had 1,370 shares -- including 336 voting shares each -- held in trust. An adopted child, Bridget, had 600 non-voting shares.
It makes one wonder if it wasn't John McCain spreading the vicious rumors about his bastard black love child with a black prostitute during his 2000 campaign against George W. Bush. Kidding aside, isn't it strange that his adopted child would be treated so differently than his natural born children?
Of course, it might just be his convicted felon father-in-law who treats his adopted grandchild differently. But then what does that say about McCain's ability to stick up for equality for the rest of us?

It's utterly transparent that John has no say in Cindy's finances. I'm 100% convinced that\ he has no idea what she's worth. Their marriage is definitely not one where they both throw their hats in the ring and make that commitment that includes everything. It's a very different kind of an arrangement.
I'm sure Cindy's family has made it very clear to John that if he doesn't maintain their status quo (ie. tax cuts for the incredibly wealthy), he will feel their wrath.

tax cuts for the super incredibly wealthy appear non-negotiable to mccain's campaign at this point. he is willing to go down in flames standing up for the richest 1% of americans. lovely isn't it.
